Game Recap: Eastside vs. DeKalb
The Eastside boys' basketball team struggled in their matchup against the DeKalb Barons, falling short in a challenging game. Turnovers proved costly, with the Blazers committing 35 throughout the contest. DeKalb's relentless defensive pressure tested Eastside's inexperienced backcourt, often forcing them into tough situations.
On a brighter note, the Blazers showed resilience on defense, holding DeKalb to under 40% shooting from the field. However, the 37 points allowed off turnovers ultimately proved too much to overcome.
Eastside will take these lessons into their next game, a home matchup against Edgerton High School (OH) on Monday. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
